Jim

James Lockhart
Principal, J>E translator and translation editor

A native of Riverton, New Jersey, USA, a small town across the river from Philadelphia, Jim took an interest in German and Japanese as a child. After spending nearly five years in Germany training as a confectioner, Jim fulfilled his dream of living in Japan by moving there in 1981. Since switching professions in 1984, he has gained a reputation for a craftsman’s dedication to his work. His no-nonsense commitment to quality is valued by JTS’s customers and associates alike.

Naoko

IKEMI Naoko
Coordinator, E>J translator and translation editor

A Hamakko (Yokohama native) to the bone, Naoko works hard to build trust between JTS’s clients and vendors alike, drawing on many years of experience in the ex/im businesses to match needs to translators’ expertise. Integrity and honesty are her by-words in her work as the interface between our customers and associates as well as a translation editor.

Kumi Lockhart

Japanese-language quality manager, head salesperson.

Kumi hails from Hagi in Yamaguchi Prefecture, which occupies the southern tip of Honshu, Japan’s largest island.

She combines her insatiable interest in words and sense for their beauty and meaning to ensure that JTS’s Japanese translations feel natural in tone and manner. She also works hard to make sure documents are formatted properly, consistently striving to hone her formatting skills in MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, and Adobe PageMaker. She also follows up closely on client needs and wishes to see to it that JTS’s customers are always satisfied with the work delivered into their inboxes.
